The Prayer Ministry at Springfield Gardens Church of the Nazarene is comprised of a group of people who have consecrated themselves and are committed to the will of God. They have dedicated themselves to giving great attention to the ministry to which God has called them to.

We believe prayer is a divine reality and that each child of God should have an effective prayer life. Through prayer, one develops a relationship with God. Scriptures state in James 5:16 “ "Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one for another, that ye may be healed." The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. So we understand that it is because of our prayers that our situations or circumstances are changed. All should know the blessedness & completeness that God gives to individuals when they actively engage in prayer for each other.

It is our goal or desire to see God raise up an army of Intercessors who will stand in the gap without fear on behalf of the masses. These ones will see the attack before it occurs and, through prayer, will cause every attack to be destroyed. Any church that has members committed to prayer is where the power of God dwells, and people's life would continue to be transformed into God's presence.

Our Duties Involve

(1)  Bearing up the arm of our Pastor and working in total unity with him & his family

(2)  Interceding on behalf of the Ministerial staff, Church Board, all auxiliaries, members & visitors

(3)  Wednesday night Shekinah prayers & Saturday 6:30 am prayers

(4)  Phone Prayer Ministry

(5)  Prayer Partners

(6)  Worship Encounter

(7)  Small Groups
