Women's Ministries

The Women's Ministries of the Springfield Gardens Church of the Nazarene is united in purpose and mission with the International Church of the Nazarene. We are a group of women who desire to be women after God's own heart. We recognize that willing and available women are powerful instruments in the hands of God to not only carry out the Great Commission but also to share love, encouragement, and care to those of their own family as well as to the household of faith. Our meetings are held once per month, on the third Sunday of every month at 5:30 pm and comprise mainly of prayer, devotions, and the special activity planned for that evening. We join with our pastor in doing our part to ensure that the church's vision is realized. We have a long way to go, but we thank God that He is our helper and with Him all things are possible.

The purpose of Women's Ministries is:

To know God personally
To grow in Christlikeness
To discover and use spiritual gifts
To love and serve others
And in all we do to reflect the beauty of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The mission of Women's Ministries is GROWTH:

Gather women
Resource opportunities
Offer acceptance
Win women to Christ
Teach biblical truths
Honor the Spirit-filled life

Philippians 2:1-2 supports these statements.

"If therefore there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose." (NASB)
