The Nazarene Youth International branch at Springfield Gardens Church of the Nazarene is an organization that strives to bring God's youth closer to Him and closer to each other through study of the Bible, prayer and in-depth teaching and discussions that are centered around and geared toward the struggles that youth face today, living in this world and striving to be a young people after God’s own heart. Discussions may range from such topics as suicide prevention to love, dating and relationship but all within a Godly context. However, although we are youth serious about the work and teachings of our Lord, we do not shy away from fun and fellowship through outings such as bowling, sports, plain old fashioned dinner, games and movie nights where we learn more about each other and strengthen our bond.


This, along with our monthly Girls’ and Guys’ Nights where we split into groups based on gender and converse about gender specific issues and worries, help us to reinforce our intimacy. Here, at our NYI, we believe that we are a family as we are all brothers and sisters in Christ and strive to uplift each other in a spirit of love, trust and understanding. Also, we are always open to new young people who want to learn about the teachings of Christ and meet amazing, friendly individuals who strive to mature in the Lord likewise. Above all, we yearn to do as the sagacious Timothy counsels us; to let no one despise our youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
